Van Vo focuses her current practice on commercial and employment law. She is experienced in handling a broad range of cases involving contract, business, real estate, complex construction, and employment disputes. In defense of her clients, Ms. Vo spearheaded a streamlined mediation process for complex multi-party cases, resulting in expedited settlements and recovery of contributions from cross-defendants.
Utilizing her expertise analyzing big data as well as managing large-scale e-discovery projects, Ms. Vo currently represents clients in connection with governmental audits and investigations, including those conducted by the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement and San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement involving wage and hour claims, health care insurance, sick and other paid leave matters, and discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims. She also handles internal wage and hour compliance audits, as well as defends wage and hour class and PAGA actions.
Ms. Vo also provides advice and counseling to employers in a variety of industries, on wage and hour law, personnel policies and handbooks, compensation plans, employee discipline, corrective action, termination, and handles workplace investigations involving employee misconduct.
Ms. Vo also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Thang N. Barrett, Superior Court of Santa Clara County.
