Timothy C. Davis is a trial lawyer who has taken more than 65 cases to verdict. Mr. Davis is a results-oriented litigator and trial lawyer who devotes his practice to representing clients in a wide variety of civil litigation cases, with an emphasis on personal injury (auto, trip and fall and other tort) cases, eviction/constructive eviction, habitability, homeowner liability, and property damage cases, errors & omissions cases, employment, and business litigation cases. He is a consummate litigator and trial lawyer whose court, jury and binding arbitration trial results have been consistently exemplary, including a defense verdict following a six-week trial returned by a San Mateo County Superior Court jury in the Moncayo v. Houlihan’s/Holiday Inn sex and national origin harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation, failure to prevent harassment and retaliation, failure to provide meal and rest breaks case.
Mr. Davis founded the Davis Law Firm in 2003, which has since been renamed Davis Wang. A former “Big Law” attorney, Mr. Davis was an associate at McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enerson (now Morgan, Lewis & Bockius), a founder and 20-year partner of Clapp, Moroney, Bellagamba, [Davis] & Vucinich, the Chair of Hancock Rothert & Bunshoft's (now Duane Morris) Labor and Employment Department, the recipient of Martindale-Hubbell's "AV" rating (highest possible awarded rating) and has been annually elected as a “Northern California Super Lawyer” (top 5%).

Representation including Trial Work in Employment Cases: Mr. Davis has successfully handled and/or tried to verdict for both defendants and plaintiffs virtually every type of employment-related cause of action/claim in California State and U.S. District Courts. By way of example, at the conclusion of a hotly contested two-week trial, he obtained a complete defense verdict of all claims in a difficult case involving allegations of rape, sexual harassment and constructive wrongful termination.
Mr. Davis and the firm has successfully handled hundreds of EEOC and DFEH filed administrative actions. Over the course of the past 25 years Mr. Davis has defended/tried to verdict countless other employment cases involving allegations of discrimination, harassment (on the basis of age, race, national origin, disability, sexual orientation and other protected classifications), retaliation, Tameny and whistleblower claims, wrongful termination, non-compete, no-solicitation, trade secret and unfair business practices.
Representation including Trial Work in Premises Liability and Personal Injury Cases: Over the course of his many years in practice, Mr. Davis has successfully defended and/or tried to verdict literally hundreds of personal injury, homeowner liability and general tort cases, many through trial, arising from vehicular, construction site, premises and other accidents of every kind, type and description. Representative clients include homeowner, operators/owners of motor vehicles, restaurants, hotel, retail, service provider, product distributors and automotive businesses, among others, and of course their insurers.
Representation including Trial Work in Professional Negligence, E & O and Business Dispute Cases: Mr. Davis successfully has defended and/or tried to verdict a broad spectrum of complex, high-stakes cases involving consumer fraud claims, breach of contract, unfair competition, false advertising, defamation, and professional liability and E & O claims including insurance and real estate broker and agent actions, successfully representing auto dealerships, contractors, retail establishments, technology companies, hospitality industry/food service companies, lawyers and law firms, architects and engineers, insurance and real estate brokers and agents, health care professionals and accountants. By way of example a client retained Mr. Davis obtained a complete defense verdict in a nearly six-month jury and court trial addressing allegations of unfair competition under Business & Professions Code §17200, corporate alter ego, false advertising, fraud, and defamation. Clients regularly retain Mr. Davis based on referrals from insurers and professional peers which affirms Mr. Davis' well-earned reputation as an extremely effective, result driven, fearless trial advocate.
Mr. Davis obtained his B.A., With Distinction, from the University of Virginia. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School. He is a Member of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court and an Officer of the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Davis served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971, including a year in Vietnam as a Company Commander. He is active in a host of civic and professional organizations and associations.
